We are one more week closer to holding these babies in our arms. We saw the perinatologist this week, and he was very reassuring that all is going well with the babies. He tried very hard to determine the genders, but it is still too hard to make the call with them being so tiny. I guess we'll have to wait another two weeks for the chance to look again.
We were encouraged to take a hospital tour as soon as possible, so we went last night. It was nice to get familiar with where we will have the babies. They have a sleeping chair for Pat so he can stay in the room with me, and they offer a nourishment room full of goodies for everyone. They told me that since I have to have a c-section, I will be in the hospital for at least 3 days. They also require two surgeons to be with me during delivery, and they will have the NICU team there since I will most likely deliver before 37 weeks. The NICU at the hospital is a level 3 which is the highest level. That's very reassuring. They told us that they are averaging about 280 babies a month. Wow!
Just stop...
