During our visit on Tuesday we found out that the babies were doing great but my body was having a little trouble. We were told that my cervix had shortened to 1.2 and there was funneling. We were immediately admitted to the hospital (12:30) and I was in surgery by 4:00. To protect the babies from anesthesia, I had a spinal block. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but having the cerclage was another story. They scanned the babies the day after the surgery, and I am happy to say they are all still doing great. They were busy moving about, but of course, I rarely can feel them.
We were released this morning after they scanned the babies again to make sure they were all still doing well. I have been put on complete bed rest until further notice. This will most likely be until the babies arrive. We just pray that we have at least 8 more weeks. Between our OB and our perinatalogist, we will most likely have one to two doctor visits a week to monitor the babies and me.
We are so grateful for the help of family. Pat's mom is here this week helping us out, and my mom will be here the next week to help us out as well. I will try and keep everyone posted with our latest news. Thanks for the continued prayers and well wishes.
Just stop...
