It's been awhile since the last post, but not much has changed here. The girls have continued to have some sort of appointment almost everyday. We either have a doctor appointment, home health, or someone coming into the house to evaluate the girls. Due to the girls rough start there are a couple of programs the girls qualified for. One program is Infant Toddlers. With this program an occupational therapist comes in once every two weeks to work with the girls. At this point there isn't much to do, but she checks their physical development and works with them to reach goals such as pushing up, neck strength, etc. The other program the girls qualified for is Parents As Teachers. They are interested in the child as a whole so they evaluate their social skills, motor skills, and cognitive skills. They come in once a month to see how the girls are developing. She is great at giving us ideas on how to work with the girls, and she informs us of toys that aren't the best at helping with the girls' development.

At the last home health visit (yesterday), Emma was weighing 7 lbs. 11.6 oz, and Abby was weighing 9 lbs. 12 oz. It's amazing they are gaining weight since we've been struggling to get them to take a full bottle. The pediatrician seems to think it's due to reflux so I guess we will wait and see. It seems that reflux gets worse before it gets better. Great!!!

It is so good that you are continuing to use the blog...those little girls are just growing like little weeds and are so cute. I am sure you are very busy and as if you don't already know, you will be for some time...but I am sure you are so happy to have them at home that you don't even think about it. Are you already for Santa...I can imagine you are or will be thinking about it soon..oh the dolls they'll have! Thanks for keeping us all informed. Vonnie
