A Cardboard Box

There is a cardboard box that has been in our garage for about 10 weeks now. Every time Pat takes a load to the recycling bends, he always ask if he can take it. My reply has always been not yet. It's not that I've wanted to keep it, I've just been so scared to let it go. See this box is what Emma's crib came in, and up until now, I've been fearful that she would never get to use it. It's a feeling that has quickly started to melt away since her last surgery. We were told this week that Emma could be home this weekend. Talk about a chin dropper. I couldn't believe my ears. Was this a joke? We thought we had at least a couple of more weeks. Of course, we know that this day is not set in stone, but as one of my dear friends said, " At least they are finally talking about going home!" She's right. It killed me not to share the good news with everyone right away, but Pat and I have a deal that we share our news with each other before anyone else. This particular day he happen to be in the air coming home so I had to wait hours for him to land before I could give him the exciting news. There are just no words to describe the feeling of knowing that we will soon be holding and loving Emma at home. We'll keep you all posted!!!

Yeah!! And you think you're busy now! Just wait. I hope you'll be able to update us once in a while of the girls progress, with pictures of course, once you have both of them home. Will continue to keep you in my prayers.

Oh what wonderful news...finally a complete family..I'm so happy and thankful for you all. I have to agree with Grammy Jane about being busy..but before you know it it will be routine for you all..just value everyday of being together and don't worry if you don't get everything done that you think you should..it will still be there tomorrow..but the girls will be growing so fast you will wonder where the time went so just enjoy them every waking moment (and nap when they are!) Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy...Fondly, Vonnie
