Enough is Enough

It seems that every time we get comfortable and think that things are going well, we are wrong. The occupational therapist came on Wednesday and noticed that one of Emma's eyeballs is a bit wobbly. She asked if anyone had mentioned a condition known as Nystagmus. At this point no one had. She suggested that we keep an eye on it to see how it progresses, but after researching it, I felt that getting her in to see the pediatric ophthalmologist was a better idea. She will go to see him on November 30th. After reading websites on the issue, I'm almost convinced that she does have it. Somethings that can cause it are head bleed, retinopathy, and the drug phenobarbital, which she was on for her jaundice. I'm trying hard not to get ahead of myself, but when it comes to your children is awfully hard not to worry. Please pray that it is not Nystagmus, but something that can be fixed.

On another note the girls are thriving and doing well. Abby is at 10 lbs 5 oz, and Emma is at 8 lbs 8 oz. I'll try to post more later about the girls along with pictures. Emma has been increasingly fussy for the past 3 days so I don't get much time to post.

I take it this is not something that can be patched? I have a little something for you and the girls, so I will need your address since we are all on house arrest. We think of you often!! Corinne
