Glasses Soon

We say the pediatric ophthalmologist on Monday, and it appears we will be going into glasses sooner than we thought. Emms'a eyes have gotten a little worse over the last two months. Her eye sight has gone from R-1, L-8 to R-3, L-10. I know that might not mean anything to most of you, but the big problem is not the prescription it's the drastic difference between the right and left eye. We also will continue to patch her eye for the next 5-6 years. We tried glasses on her, but since she is so small there is only one pair that fit her. I think they look like a throw back to the 80's. Good news is we were able to get them in girly pink!! There is always a bright side.

I told you in the last post I was taking Abby to the appointment, and they were going to see her no matter what. Well, they did. We were hopeful that since Abby has never exhibited any issues with her eyes that she would get a clean bill of health, but seems she is a little nearsighted as well. Abby is -2.5 in both eyes. Because her eye sight is symmetrical, there is no need to do anything at this point. They will see the girls in a couple of months to see how they are doing.
