This past Friday (Oct. 8) the girls had their 18 month neurology check up. They had to have CTs done. I was stressed for days on how the girls would do. I was afraid they were going to strap them down and not let me in the room with the girls while they scanned their brains. I actually worried for nothing. They put a lead jacket on me and then wrapped the girls in one. They allowed me to be right by each girls side, and I assisted in keeping their heads still while the test was going. Emma was a bit annoyed with being confined so I sang Jesus Loves Me to her. I didn't realize that the other people in the room could hear me. Oooppss! Abby on the other hand stayed rather content. She was quite still and studied the lights and her new surroundings. I don't know why that surprised me since her nickname is "Professor." She studies everything. The great news is that the girls' brains look good. Their ventricles are a little larger than most children, but it's not significant and shouldn't cause any problems. Dr. G did tell us that there may be some delays somewhere down the road, but that's just a wait and see issue. At this point if a little delay is all we have to worry about we are okay with that.
Just stop...
