NICU Reunion #2

*****Two new post to check out****

A couple of weekends ago we attend our 2nd NICU Reunion. It is something we were really looking forward to. The joy of seeing the families that we meet during our 5 month stay at OPRMC is just something that fills your heart. When we first met these other families, there were very few smiles, but lots of tears. You could see in each others faces the fear, tiredness, uncertainty, frustration, etc in the eyes of each parent. At the reunion you see something different. You see smiles, hear laughter, and feel the happiness that has replaced the emotions that were once there. Everyone is excited to see the babies who have come so far and beat the odds.

The staff is another reason why attending the reunion is so joyful. We were so excited about getting to show the girls off to them. They were such an integral part of getting our babies healthy so they could come home. Because of their skill, love for these tiny babies, and diligence in care, they have given us something that can never be repaid. They are an amazing group of people. God placed us in their care, and we are forever grateful for what they did for us.

Emma before we left for the reunion. She's walking all over and rarely crawls.

Jana - This post brought a huge smile to my face this morning. What beautiful girls (that i haven't gotten to meet personally - grrr!) that God has graced you and Pat with. I love watching your two little miracles grow. Thanks for continuing your posts.
