It takes an event like this for me to fully realize that males are the weaker sex. To be able to hear the words "Now this is going to cause you a lot of pain" and look that doctor in the eye and say "ok" is unfathomable to me.
I can't tell you in words, song or poetry, how strong a woman has to be in order to endure what my wife has been through the last year and half all converging on the last two weeks.
The strength it takes to deliver one child naturally without any pain blocking medication is incredible, much less two, but it cannot truly be understood for three deliveries, naturally, under intense stress all in one week.
The courage to face the fact that you are going to deliver Reagan into this world, with no hope of her survival and then have the faith in God that the twins would stay in a while longer.
The amount of faith it takes to raise this time, this circumstance, this blessing, up to God and believe so strongly that there is only one true hope for yourself and your little angels.
To be fed all the statistics, all the problems, all the heartbreaking news after a wonderful yesterday and still persist and fight for your little ones.
To rise above yourself, to say "I don't care what happens to me, do what's best for my babies" makes me weep as I write and understand so clearly what that means now.
The energy to go through labor contractions every 5 minutes for 8 hours when you're upside down and hoping that it will stop so you can make it another day.
The enormous amount of love in your heart for your family, friends and children.
All of these describe my wife, my friend, my everything.
Just stop...

I'm sure that Jana already knows what an amazing husbadn you are being (and probably usually are). When you feel sad or lost, just hold her hand or hold her tight, there are moments like these that you don't need ANY words.
Prayers sent your way....
Pat - You are an amazing husband...Jana is so lucky to have you by her side through all of this. You BOTH are just at the beginning of finding hidden strengths that neither one of you knew you had and never thought possible. This will be a rough road with a lot of emotional ups and downs, but your love in each other and faith in God will steer you through it.
Jana - Your strenth amazes me with each and every post. I cannot even imagine what you have been through. Continue to stay strong sweetheart, my prayers are with you and your precious girls each and every minute.
The love you have for Jana (and she has for you) just proves true love can endure anything! You guys are such an inspiration to me.
Prayers go up....blessings come down.
Love you guys!
Wow...that is really all I can say..Wow...God sure knew what he was doing when he brought you two together.
pat - thank you for keeping us updated on your amazing journey. Each time i read what you write, my eyes fill up with tears just knowing how much love you have your wife.
Jana - you are a strong and amazing woman, continue to keep your faith strong, your angel is watching over you and those little girls.
I continue to pray for your family!

Pat, what a wonderful tribute to an extremely amazing woman! I have always been a "Jana" fan and thought she was a one-of-a-kind but throughout this whole ordeal and the posting you have done, I have definitely become a "Pat" fan too!! I can't think of a better match for either of you than each other. Praying for all of you! Thanks for posting.
Jana and Pat-There are no words to take away the pain you are feeling over the loss of baby Reagan...just know that she is the guardian angel for her sisters.
Jana-You are such a fighter...please stay strong and get well.
Pat-Your posts brought me to tears.
My thoughts and prayers are with you!
