Quickly: Emma is still working at losing some of her fluid that she's been retaining. Her little tummy is a bit bigger this evening, but after x-raying it the docs believe that it is most likely gas. Her abdominal ultrasound today showed that her liver is still enlarged and that there is still a pocket of blood around it. They don't know why this is, but it isn't getting bigger and a close eye will be kept on it. When it comes to the brain scan, it shows that her bleed is still resolving, some of the ventricles are slightly dilated, and there are signs of mild hydrocephalus.
Abigail is doing better on her vent today, but as we know she likes to scare the pants off all of us at any moment. Potassium level is 4.5, and her sugar is still elevated but decreasing. As for Abby's brain scan they didn't seen any change which is good news that it isn't getting worse. She also had some slightly dilated ventricles, and signs of hydrocephalus. We spoke with one of the Neo Docs about this and she said at this point it may all resolve itself, so we are praing hard that God will help their little brains heal without any interventions.
A bit of sunshine today: As usual Patrick goes by to see the girls in the morning on his way to work. This morning when he walked in the nurse asked Pat to help her out. The help she needed gave Pat the opportunity to hold Emma for a short while. I think it melted his heart to get to hold one of his babies. What a bit of sunshine to a day that started off a little rocky!!!
Just stop...

I bet Pat was walking on air after that! I'm so thrilled he was able to do that.
I am praying the ups are many and the downs are fewer! I think about the girls many times throughout the day and always ask the Lord to bless each of them as your entire family has blessed so many.
I wish I could be there just to visit. I miss you so much! The Lord is so good!

Love you!
No change is good news at this point! I know that God holds those angels in his arms every day.
So good to be able to check on you through the Blog. I appreciate your time at keeping it up for us. You guys, and girls, remain in our prayers daily. God is really giving you all a great testimony. I am so proud of both of you. Lots of love, Deanna
Jana,
Hang in there sweetheart! Let me know if you need anything at all. Y'all are still in my prayers.
When my daughter was in the NICU last year I kept repeating this in my head and it gave me some sense of comfort and peace...
Be still and know that I am God -
Psalm 46:10
How amazing ~ I hope there are more sunshine days SOON.
Thinking about you Jana.
