It is so hard to imagine that the girls are 9 weeks old. While the time in the NICU is starting to wear on me, I honestly can't believe it's been 9 weeks. Compared to a term baby ours are still tiny, but the girls are growing by leaps and bounds.
Emma has been having some rough days and nights lately. Evidently last night she was extremely fussy so they swaddled her, and that seemed to help. Today she was fussy so I held her for about 2 hours, and she was great. She had her eyes opened wide and looked all around. She drifted off to sleep after awhile, and I enjoyed looking at her beautiful little face. She slept for the rest of the day until it was time to manipulate her drains. It took some time, but she did settle in. I noticed that one of her drain sites looked extremely irritated, so they are going to try and add Desitin to the site and see if that will help. Our sweet girl is at 2 lbs 13 oz. As for Abby she slept for most of the day, and she is continuing to grow, eat, and poop. I held Abby for 2 hours as well, and I love to hold her and listen to her little sounds. I haven't gotten her weight gain this evening yet so I'll update when I find out.
Just stop...

Thank you for the update. I'm glad you able to hold your little ones. I'm praying for their continued improvement and for strength for the two of you.

Pat, it is great news that the girls favor their mother rather than the Aggie..
