Well, Emma has been made NPO once again. We noticed that Emma's drain sites were getting red. They started using Bacterban which is an antibiotic cream to see if that would help. It seemed to help a little but didn't resolve the problem. As they increased her feeds, they also noticed that her drains were beginning to drain "breast milk" poo, but the good news is that she was also stooling in her diaper. They have stopped her feeds to give her tummy a rest. It is good that she is stooling in her diaper because that means that her entire system is working. The doctors feel that Emma must have a little hole somewhere in her bowel that is letting a little stool get into her body cavity which then comes out of the drains. Hopefully taking her off of feed will allow her to heal that hole.
Abigail is catching up to her sister in weight. They are now onl 18 grams apart and she may surpass Emma because they have taken Emma off milk and Abigail is still consuming 27 ounces a feeding.
Jana was able to hold Emma last night in a couple of blankets in her arms and look down at her sweet little face as she rocked her in a chair. Emma kept up her body temp and that is a good indication that she is starting to put on some body fat to help regulate her temperature. We can't wait for them to be able to go to cribs instead of the isolets.
The computer is back up so we can get more pictures up.
Just stop...

I continue to pray for you two and those precious baby girls. Each time I awake in the night I also lift a prayer that they (and you two) are having a good night. Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to new pictures.
