Since the end of March the girls have been attending an Early Childhood Program along with the KDO at our church. We couldn't have asked for a better place for the girls to grow and catch up. The teachers in their classroom are amazing. We are very impressed with how much they care about our girls and their future. If you wondering why I said catch up a few lines up, it's because the girls are about six months behind and a little delayed in speech. To us six months is a very small gap compared to what we thought we were going to face. They say that preemies should be caught up by 2 years old, but I think when you are a micropreemie that time frame needs to be adjusted. A baby born at 34 weeks, even at 28 weeks has had a great deal more time to grow in utero than a baby born at 23 weeks so it kind of seems to me that the catch up time needs to be adjusted for mirco's.
Pat and I took a much need vacation. We were able to go to Beaver Creek, CO and spend 4 days relaxing because Pat's parents came up to watch the girls for us. The girls enjoyed being the center of attention for those couple of days while we were gone.

The "Original" Hard Rock Cafe. It opened somewhere in the 1940's for the miners, hence the name "hard rock."

It was so good to see your recent blog and catch up. First and foremost I am so glad you were able to get away for a few days..there is just nothing it to refresh you. And the girls..well they are surely doing wonderful. I don't think much will ever phase them..they are definitely survivors. So what if they don't do everything as the charts say..they are and will do it at their own speed and do it well. Strictly speaking they are still babies..but not for long. It will amaze you how quickly and suddenly they will be little girls. Nice that Grandpa and Grandma were there to stay with them. Again so good to see your blog. Vonnie
I'm definitely NOT a robot...and I also am not too good at copying some of your words!!!
